About the role
You will be the senior pair of hands on most of the work we ship — leading the frontend on two to four concurrent client engagements, partnering with design from the first sketch, and setting the bar for what we ship to production. We are looking for a builder who thinks about animation and accessibility in the same breath, and who has opinions about the build tool we should not be using next year.
How you fit
You sit in our engineering pod (currently four people) but spend at least a third of your week with designers and strategists. Most weeks you write code; some weeks you write proposals. We care about the long-tail of the work — sites that still feel right two years after launch.
What you'll do
- Own the frontend architecture for new and ongoing client work.
- Pair with designers from the first wireframe — not after the handoff.
- Mentor the rest of the engineering pod through code review and pairing.
- Lead motion implementation across GSAP, view transitions, and Lenis.
- Champion performance, accessibility, and SEO on every project.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building production web apps in TypeScript.
- Deep experience with at least one of SvelteKit or Next.js (we will train across).
- Comfort writing CSS without reaching for a UI library.
- A portfolio that demonstrates motion sensibility — not just feature delivery.
- Strong communication in English; Arabic is a plus, not a requirement.
Nice to have
- Background in interaction or motion design.
- Open-source contributions or a maintained side-project.
- Experience with Prismic, Sanity, or a similar headless CMS.
