In short

Shopify development in Egypt includes designing and building a Shopify store that fits local buyers: a custom or adapted Liquid theme, Arabic and English storefronts, Paymob for cards and wallets, cash on delivery, and Bosta or Aramex shipping. It ends with test orders, launch, and training so your team can run the store itself.

  • Custom or adapted Liquid theme your team edits from the theme editor

  • Arabic storefront designed right to left, not a mirrored copy

  • Paymob for cards and wallets, plus cash on delivery

  • Bosta or Aramex shipping with zones that match your delivery

  • Migration from WooCommerce with redirects that keep search traffic

Overview

Shopify development in Egypt is mostly about the parts a stock theme does not cover: Arabic storefronts, local payments, courier handoffs and a catalog that makes sense to Egyptian buyers. Shopify handles hosting, checkout and the admin well. The work is in fitting it to how people here actually buy.

01

Shopify fits brands that want to sell soon and run the store themselves, without a developer on call for every change. Fashion labels, coffee and food brands, beauty and homeware all sit well on it, especially when the catalog has clear products and variants. A common starting point is a brand already selling through Instagram or WhatsApp that now needs a proper store behind those channels.

Shopify Plus is worth discussing when order volume grows, when you run separate stores for Egypt and the Gulf, or when checkout needs deeper customization. We tell you plainly when the standard plan is enough.

02

A good store is rarely a theme with a new logo. Most of our Shopify work sits in these areas:

  • Shopify theme customization in Liquid: sections, blocks and templates your team can edit without breaking the layout.

  • Arabic and English storefronts with a real right-to-left layout, Arabic typography and translated product data.

  • Shopify Paymob integration for cards and wallets, with cash on delivery set up as a proper option.

  • Shipping through Bosta or Aramex, with zones and rates that match how you deliver.

  • A short, deliberate app stack, so the store stays fast and the monthly bill stays readable.

  • Migration to Shopify from WooCommerce or a custom site, with products, customers and redirects carried over.

03

For the buyer, it is a store that loads quickly on a phone, reads naturally in Arabic and English, and lets them pay the way they prefer in a few steps. For your team, it is an admin they understand: collections that update themselves, metafields for product details, and order flows that match how the warehouse works.

It also means fewer apps. Every app adds scripts to the storefront and a line to the invoice. We build small features into the theme when that is cleaner, and only install apps that earn their place.

04

We design the storefront around your products first, then build it as a custom or heavily adapted theme in Liquid, JavaScript and CSS. Denaro, a Cairo label making denim slides, caps and socks in limited runs, is a Shopify storefront we designed and built this way: a small catalog, strong product imagery, and drops that need the store to feel like the brand.

We work in Arabic and English from the first wireframe, so the Arabic store is designed, not mirrored. For brands selling into Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, we plan markets, currencies and shipping zones up front. After launch, you get a store your team can run, with documentation and training, and we stay available for changes.

What we build on Shopify, and the five steps from audit to a store your team runs.

We look at your products, how you sell today and where orders come from. If you already have a store, we review the theme, the installed apps and the checkout. The result is a clear scope: theme approach, payment and shipping setup, languages, markets, and whether the standard plan or Shopify Plus fits.

Shopify fits brands that want to sell soon and run the store themselves. WooCommerce fits teams already on WordPress. Custom headless fits complex catalogs or deep integrations, with a technical partner over time.

It depends on a few things: whether we adapt an existing theme or build a custom one, how many templates the store needs, Arabic and English versions, payment and shipping setup, and any migration. A focused store on an adapted theme costs far less than a custom bilingual theme with integrations. We quote after a short scoping call.

Timeline follows scope. The main factors are custom design versus an adapted theme, the size of the catalog, a second language, and how quickly product photos and copy are ready. Content is often the slowest part. We agree a schedule after scoping and tell you early if anything on your side is holding it up.

Yes. Paymob connects to Shopify as a payment provider for cards and mobile wallets, and cash on delivery is available as a manual payment method. We set both up, test real orders through each one, and make sure order statuses in the admin make sense to whoever handles fulfillment.

Most brands in Egypt do not, at least at the start. Plus makes sense when volume is high, when you need several stores for different markets under one organization, or when you need deeper checkout customization and automation. We look at your plans and recommend the plan that fits, not the largest one.

Yes. We design the Arabic store as its own layout, with right-to-left navigation, proper Arabic fonts and translated product data, not a flipped copy of the English theme. Both languages run from one store, and your team edits translations from the admin.

Yes. We move products, variants, images, customers and order history, then redirect old URLs to their new Shopify paths so you keep search traffic. We run the old and new stores side by side until everything checks out, then switch the domain.

Tell us about your products and how you sell today. We will suggest a theme approach, payments and shipping on a short call.
